What’s Your Second Favorite Sport?
The past few weeks have been very poor training weeks for me. If you’ve followed this blog, you know the reason - I’ve got plantar fasciitis. Although I’m improving (I ran 3 miles yesterday with no increase in pain!) I’m not completely over it, so I’ve been working some cross training into my schedule on the days when I just haven’t been able to run.
This change in activities has not been all that much fun for me. Although I like biking (although I don’t like stationary biking all that much), yoga and other sports, running is by far my favorite participant sport. By the way, thanks to those of you that have given me helpful tips and well-wishes. I finally managed to get myself to a podiatrist earlier this week, and a physical therapist, Mark Plaatjes. Mark’s treatment - although painful - seems to really have helped, as do the superfeet insoles he customized for me. A couple more treatments and I should be completely back in action!

Cycling by far is my second favorite sport. Here’s why.

Glad to see recovery is progressing… you’re doing all the right things! Biking’s my fav. second sport, but it’s a real distant second… until spring/summer, than I don’t mind it so much.
That being said, I’m much worse on the bike, so it’s not exactly a good ego fix.
