Another Running Playlist

in Mental Training

As I’ve said before, I don’t always run with headphones, but I do like to run to music at least occasionally, and actually more often than not when I’m running on a treadmill at my local rec center. So, at the risk of embarrassing and/or dating myself, I’ve taken up the Running Blogfather’s challenge and am sharing the playlist that I’m using right now for my treadmill runs.

You’ll note that I have a lot of older pop songs in here - how can you not love Queen? - but I also have a few songs that are actually from this decade. Hope you enjoy this - or at least don’t make too much fun of me.

Anyway, I’d love to see what you listening to you while you run or work out. Leave a comment below and let us all know!

Definitely not outdated! And what’s most important - does it make you enjoy your run and do you find yourself singing along? That’s a good playlist!

Interesting mix :) I only listen to music when I’m doing runs by myself. If I’m with someone or in a race, I never do. I do need to change up my tunes though. They’re getting old. My MP3 has;
Janis Joplin, Aerosmith, Queen, Kid Rock, Seether, Linkin Park, Metallica, Puddle of Mudd, and the Red Hot Chilli Peppers

@Sarah - thanks! It’s working for me right now, although I’m sure I’ll need to change it up a bit soon to keep things fresh.

@Dave - thanks. I never listen to music when running with others either - it just seems rude! You’ve got some interesting artists on your playlist - gives me some more ideas!

Love the music and the way you put it in your website. I wanted to click play and listen to the whole thing. Great choices too. Man, I’m out of date. Never get to listen to anything other than the Madagascar CD!!
