Run Faster Links of the Week - January 6, 2008
Okay, no real theme here this week - #1 was just odd, #2, #3 and #4 were motivational, and #5 makes me look forward to running NYC in 2008:
- Alka-Seltzer Makes You Faster? - Interesting, but I’m probably not going to be trying this any time soon!
- 101 Kicks in the Butt - Motivational tips from Runner’s World. For those of you that like to run with music, this list includes a few suggested playlists.
- Lessons from the Marathon Monks - via Financial Hack, a discussion about a group of Japanese monks with a goal to run the equivalent of the entire equator - or once around the world over an 8 year period. Amazing.
- Mike Huckabee Talks About His Running - This is an old article, but I found it incredibly inspiring. Regardless of what you think about his politics, he deserves a lot of credit for turning around his life and getting fit.
- The 2007 New York Marathon - Dean Schuster from Zero To Boston reports on his 2007 New York City Marathon experience. Great (and very funny!) report, Dean.
Hope you all are having a good weekend!

Wow, thanks for the link love!
I hear Huckabee is running Boston. No word on whether or not he’s joining up with the monks.

Yes, I heard that too. Don’t know how Huckabee can find time to run a campaign and train for the Boston Marathon. Impressive.
