Two of my interests come together in this week’s links - they’re all about the benefits of running, wine, and bringing the two together - enjoy!
- Keeping active may decrease your biological age - Another good reason to run - a new study suggests that staying active may decrease your biological age by as much as 10 years.
- What are you drinking? - Some good tips here, and the article even says that it’s okay to have some wine the night before a race. Hey, if Deena Kastor can do it, I guess the rest of us can too!
- Half marathons in California’s wine country - If you are a wine drinker, you’ll want to check out these races. A half marathon followed by a wine festival - what could be better?
I probably won’t be able to run either of these races this year because of other commitments, but they’re definitely on my ‘must run’ list. Let me know in the comments if you’ve done either of these races and what you thought about them, or if you’re planning on running in them. Hope you’re enjoying your Superbowl Sunday!

Glad it’s okay to drink vino! It would not be dinner unless there was a nice bottle of Italian red involved!
Yes, some meals definitely call for wine!
