Run Faster Links of the Week - February 24, 2008
If you’re like me, an animal lover as well as a runner, you might be interested in these upcoming races. All benefit a local humane society or animal shelter, and some allow you to run with your dog.
- Humane Race - A 1 mile or 5K race to be held in Williamstown, MA on May 4, 2008 to benefit the Berkshire Humane Society. You can run/walk the race either with or without your dog.
- Dog Jog & 5K Run - A benefit for the Richmond, VA Society for Prevention of Cruelty for Animals, to be held on March 29, 2008. 1 mile and 5K races will be held, but dogs are not allowed to run with you in the 5K.
- The Furry Scurry - This race is held in Denver’s Washington Park to benefit the Denver Dumb Friend’s League. It’s a 2-mile race, and you are permitted to run with one dog.
